Daily Bible Reading: John 7:25-53, Jeremiah 46-47

INCREDIBLE

Jesus is the Son of God, He is the Messiah, He is not just a prophet. That’s why His ministry was extraordinary! Every single of His Words just so powerful and fully anointed, even the officers were not able to lay hand upon Him. The Bible wrote: Then the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, “Why have you not brought Him?” The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this Man Jn.7:45-46!”

Even the soldiers who want to arrest Jesus at Gethsemane fell to the ground by the answer of Jesus. The Bible wrote: Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground Jn.18:6. All people agree that Jesus was totally different with the scribes. The people were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes Mat.7:28-29. All gave witness to Him and marvelled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth Luk.4:22.

We may not able to hear His voice again now, but His written words are just as powerful as the spoken one. Later John wrote: “That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full 1Jn.1:3-4.” Praise God that all believers can experience the incredibleness of His Words anytime and anywhere. Let us keep reading and meditating in His words so that we will also able to say: “No man ever spoke like this Man!”

LUAR BIASA

Yesus adalah Putra Allah, Dia adalah Mesias, Dia bukan hanya seorang nabi. Itulah mengapa pelayanan-Nya begitu luar biasa! Setiap Firman-Nya begitu berkuasa dan penuh urapan, bahkan para penjaga pun tidak dapat menyentuh-Nya. Alkitab mencatat: Maka penjaga-penjaga itu pergi kepada imam-imam kepala dan orang-orang Farisi, yang berkata kepada mereka: “Mengapa kamu tidak membawa-Nya?” Jawab penjaga-penjaga itu: “Belum pernah seorang manusia berkata seperti orang itu Yoh.7:45-46!”

Bahkan para prajurit yang ingin menangkap Yesus di Getsemani rebah ke tanah karena jawaban Yesus. Alkitab menulis: Ketika Ia berkata kepada mereka: “Akulah Dia,” mundurlah mereka dan jatuh ke tanah Yoh.18:6. Semua orang setuju bahwa Yesus benar-benar berbeda dengan para ahli Taurat. Orang banyak takjub mendengar pengajaran-Nya, sebab Dia mengajar mereka sebagai orang yang berkuasa, tidak seperti ahli-ahli Taurat mereka Mat.7:28-29. Semua orang membenarkan Dia dan mereka heran akan kata-kata yang indah yang diucapkan-Nya Luk.4:22.

Kita mungkin tidak dapat mendengar suara-Nya lagi sekarang, namun demikian kata-kata-Nya yang tertulis sama berkuasa dengan yang diucapkan. Di waktu selanjutnya Yohanes menulis: “Apa yang telah kami lihat dan yang telah kami dengar itu, kami beritakan kepada kamu juga, supaya kamupun beroleh persekutuan dengan kami. Dan persekutuan kami adalah persekutuan dengan Bapa dan dengan Anak-Nya, Yesus Kristus. Dan semuanya ini kami tuliskan kepada kamu, supaya sukacita kami menjadi sempurna 1Yoh.1:3-4.” Terpujilah Allah karena semua orang percaya dapat mengalami Firman-Nya yang luar biasa kapan pun dan di mana pun. Marilah kita terus membaca dan merenungkan Firman-Nya agar kita juga dapat berkata: “Belum pernah seorang manusia berkata seperti orang itu!”
