THE WORD THAT WORKS

Do you believe that the Word of God that we read every day is able to do a miraculous work in our life? The church of the Thessalonians experienced the Word that worked effectively among them and

Paul wrote the secret: “For this reason, we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe 1Thes.2:13.”

The way how we welcome the word of God will determine how much we receive from it. Paul was blessed since they received and welcomed it seriously, as the word of God and not as the word of men! God will use His people, a human with its nature, to share, to teach, and to preach His words, but in our side, we must welcome it as the word of God.

Jesus also came into this world as flesh. Some people welcomed Jesus only as the son of Joseph and Mary, and they got nothing. While some other people welcomed Jesus as the Son of God and they got everything Mat.13:58! That Words of God will work effectively if we believe. Do you believe in the Word of God? Let’s believe more, let’s welcome it as the word of God, and let’s experience the miraculous works of God in our life.

FIRMAN YANG BEKERJA

Apakah Saudara percaya bahwa Firman Allah yang kita baca setiap hari dapat melakukan pekerjaan yang ajaib dalam hidup kita? Jemaat Tesalonika mengalami Firman yang bekerja secara efektif di antara mereka dan Paulus menuliskan rahasianya: “Dan karena itulah kami tidak putus-putusnya mengucap syukur juga kepada Allah, sebab kamu telah menerima firman Allah yang kami beritakan itu, bukan sebagai perkataan manusia, tetapi – dan memang sungguh-sungguh demikian – sebagai firman Allah, yang bekerja juga di dalam kamu yang percaya 1Tes.2:13.”

Cara kita menyambut Firman Allah akan menentukan seberapa banyak yang akan kita terima dari-Nya. Paulus diberkati karena mereka menerima dan menyambut dengan serius, sebagai Firman Allah dan bukan sebagai perkataan manusia! Allah akan menggunakan umat-Nya, manusia biasa dengan keadaan alaminya, untuk membagikan, mengajar, dan memberitakan Firman-Nya, tetapi di pihak kita, kita harus menyambutnya sebagai Firman Allah.

Yesus juga datang ke dunia ini sebagai manusia. Beberapa orang menyambut Yesus hanya sebagai putra Yusuf dan Maria dan mereka tidak mendapat apa-apa. Sementara orang yang lainnya menyambut Yesus sebagai Putra Allah dan mereka mendapatkan segalanya Mat.13:58! Firman Allah akan bekerja secara efektif jika kita percaya. Apakah Saudara percaya pada Firman Allah? Mari kita mempercayainya lebih lagi, mari kita menyambutnya sebagai Firman Allah, dan mari mengalami karya Allah yang ajaib dalam hidup kita.
