Daily Bible Reading: 1Corinthians 15:1-19, 2Kings 13-14
NEVER RUN WITH AN EMPTY FAITH
What is an empty faith? Paul wrote: “If Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty, and your faith is also empty 1Cor.15:14.” Our faith must be built upon the resurrection of Christ! Even Paul said: “If Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins 1Cor.15:17!” An empty faith is happened when someone does not believe that Jesus is risen!
Our faith is not built upon uncertainty. The resurrection of Jesus is a fact, it’s not just a folk tale! He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once 1Cor.15:4-6! The resurrection of Jesus is a strong evidence that death no longer has dominion over Him Rom.6:9. The resurrection of Jesus is a strong reason that we can put faith in everything Jesus had said and promised! The resurrection of Jesus is a strong declaration that He is the Son of God Rom.1:4.
Do not run your life with an empty faith! Let’s always remember that Jesus is alive, and He had overcome everything, even the last enemy which is death 1Cor.15:26. Our faith must be always filled with the power of resurrection of Christ!
JANGAN BERLARI DENGAN IMAN YANG KOSONG
Apakah iman yang kosong itu? Paulus menulis, “Tetapi andaikata Kristus tidak dibangkitkan, maka sia-sialah pemberitaan kami dan sia-sialah juga kepercayaan kamu 1Kor.15:14.” Iman kita harus dibangun di atas kebangkitan Kristus! Bahkan Paulus berkata, “Dan jika Kristus tidak dibangkitkan, maka sia-sialah kepercayaan kamu dan kamu masih hidup dalam dosamu 1Kor.15:17!” Iman yang kosong terjadi ketika seseorang tidak percaya bahwa Yesus bangkit!
Iman kita tidak dibangun di atas ketidakpastian. Kebangkitan Yesus adalah suatu fakta, itu bukan hanya dongeng! Bahwa Dia telah dikuburkan, dan bahwa Dia telah dibangkitkan, pada hari yang ketiga, sesuai dengan Kitab Suci; bahwa Dia telah menampakkan diri kepada Kefas dan kemudian kepada kedua belas murid-Nya. Sesudah itu Dia menampakkan diri kepada lebih dari lima ratus saudara sekaligus 1Kor.15:4-6! Kebangkitan Yesus adalah bukti yang kuat bahwa maut tidak lagi berkuasa atas Dia Rom.6:9. Kebangkitan Yesus adalah alasan yang kuat bahwa kita dapat menaruh iman pada semua yang telah dikatakan dan dijanjikan Yesus! Kebangkitan Yesus adalah deklarasi yang kuat bahwa Dia adalah Putra Allah Rom.1:4.
Jangan menjalankan hidup Saudara dengan iman yang kosong! Mari kita selalu ingat bahwa Yesus hidup, dan Dia telah mengalahkan segalanya, bahkan musuh yang terakhir yaitu kematian 1Kor.15:26. Iman kita harus selalu dipenuhi dengan kuasa kebangkitan Kristus!
